Kekalahan Timnas Indonesia U-23 Bertabur Drama VAR, Erick Thohir Minta Maaf
Timnas Indonesia U-23 harus menelan kekalahan di babak semifinal Piala Asia U-23 2024 dari Uzbekistan, Senin (30/4/2024).
Berlangsung di Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, pada Senin (29/4/2024) malam WIB, Timnas Indonesia U-23 kalah dengan skor 0-2 dari lawannya.
Kekalahan itu langsung direspons Ketua Umum PSSI, Erick Thohir.Dia menyatakan, skuad Timnas Indonesia U-23 sudah berupaya secara maksimal, namun pada akhirnya harus mengakui keunggulan Uzbekistan.
Meski begitu, Erick Thohir menegaskan kalau Timnas Indonesia U-23 tetap bertekad mengunci tiket kelolosan ke Olimpiade Paris 2024 dengan merebut gelar peringkat ketiga Turnamen Piala Asia 2024.
Timnas Indonesia U-23 akan menghadapi tim yang kalah antara Irak vs Jepang untuk memperebutkan posisi ketiga.
\”Maaf kita sudah coba maksimal. Kita akan fight lagi tanggal 2 Mesi untuk perebutan tempat ke-3,\” kata Erick Thohir dalam pernyataan singkatnya dalam aplikasi perpesanan.
Bertabur Drama Wasit dan VAR
Pada laga ini, sejumlah keputusan wasit dianggap merugikan Timnas Indonesia U-23.
Sejumlah insiden yang terjadi di lapangan yang melibatkan VAR membuat alur pertandingan cenderung negatif bagi skuad Shin Tae-yong.
Timnas Indonesia kalah 2-0 dari Uzbekistan dalam pertandingan semifinal Piala Asia U23 2024 di Stadion Abdullah bin Khafila, Senin (29/4/2024).
Dua gol Uzbekistan dicetak Husain Norchaev pada menit ke-68, serta own goal Pratama Arhan pada menit ke-86.
Di laga ini, Timnas U23 Indonesia serasa digembosi oleh wasit Shen Yinhao, wasit asal China yang memimpin jalannya pertandingan.
Banyak keputusan yang dibuat yang merugikan skuad Garuda. Salah satu keputusan wasit yang teramat merugikan tim asuhan Shin Tae-yong yakni ketika menganulir gol Muhammad Ferarri.
