Pelatih Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino langsung menabuh genderang perang ke Manchester City setelah berhasil menang telak atas Crystal Palace di Liga Inggris 2023-2024.
Yap, Chelsea berhasil menang telak dengan skor 3-1 saat menyambangi markas Crystal Palace, Selasa (13/2/2024) dinihari WIB.
Sebenarnya Chelsea tertinggal dahulu berkat gol dari Jefferson Lerma (30\’).
Namun di babak kedua, Chelsea mampu comeback dengan menyarangkan tiga gol melalui brace dari Conor Gallagher (47\’ dan 90+1\’) dan Enzo Fernandez (90+4\’).
Dengan hasil ini Chelsea naik satu tangga ke posisi sepuluh dengan mengemas 34 poin.
Sementara di laga selanjutnya, Chelsea akan menyambangi markas sang juara bertahan Manchester City.
Meski di atas kertas Chelsea tak diunggulkan menang, Mauricio Pochettino mempunyai motivasi tersendiri berkat kemenangan atas Crystal Palace.

\”Kami mendapatkan tiga poin untuk persiapan minggu depan melawan Manchester City,\” ucap Pochettino dikutip dari Football London.
Lebih lanjut Pochettino menjelaskan bahwa Chelsea telah berkembang usai kemenangan atas Aston Villa di Piala FA.
\”Konsistensi itulah yang perlu kami ubah. Kami berusaha untuk lebih konsisten.\”
\”Kami perlu mencoba dan konsisten, menciptakan dan tampil, selalu, seperti yang kami lakukan saat melawan Aston Villa,\” ucap Pochettino.
\”Memang tidak mudah tapi kita perlu mencobanya,\” tambahnya.
Pochettino juga berkomentar atas performa Gallagher yang berhasil mencetak brace pada laga melawan Crystal Palace.
Menurutnya, ia belum sepenuhnya senang meski Gallagher berhasil mencetak brace. Hal itu dikarenakan performanya telat panas pada babak pertama.
