Pelatih Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez membahas hasil kekalahan timnya dari sang tamu PSG dengan skor 1-4 pada leg kedua Perempat Final Liga Champions, Rabu (17/4/2024) dini hari WIB.
Berlangsung di Camp Nou, Barcelona sebenarnya mencetak gol lebih dahulu melalui Raphinha (12\’).
Namun petaka menimpa Barcelona setelah kehilangan bek andalannya Ronald Araujo menit 29 karena hukuman kartu merah.
Situasi Barcelona yang kalah pemain ini menjadi angin segar bagi kubu PSG.
Perlahan PSG mulai mengejar gol penyama melalui Ousmane Dembele (40\’).
Kemudian pada babak kedua, PSG menghajar Barcelona dengan menciptakan 3 gol tambahan.
Tiga gol PSG ini dibuat oleh Vitinha (54\’) dan Kylian Mbappe memborong sisanya (61\’) dan (89\’).Hasil kekalahan ini membuat Barcelona gagal ke Semifinal Liga Champions karena kalah agregat 4-6 dari tim asal Prancis tersebut.
Menyikapi kegagalan timnya, Xavi Hernandez tidak bisa menyembunyikan perasaan kecewa.
Juru taktik berusia 44 tahun itu mengecam kepemimpinan wasit Istvan Kovacs.
Ia menganggap wasit asal Rumania itu sebagai bencana besar untuk Barcelona karena memberikan kartu merah langsung kepada Ronald Araujo.
“Kami kesal. Kartu merah menandai hasil buruk ini,\” buka Xavi Hernandez dikutip dari laman ABC News.
