Kompetisi Liga Inggris telah memasuki bursa transfer yang dimulai tanggal 1 Januari hingga 1 Februari 2024.
Dibukanya bursa transfer musim dingin ini, para tim Liga Inggris tentu akan melakukan perombakan demi mendapat komposisi terkuat.
Hal itu juga dilakukan oleh Arsenal juga aktif pada jendela transfer bulan Januari 2024, mereka menargetkan bomber Brentford, yakni Ivan Toney.
Namun keinginan Arsenal itu akan sedikit terhambat.
Pelatih Brentford, Thomas Frank baru-baru saja mengatakan terang-terangan tak akan menjual sang striker meski saat ini masih terkena masalah skorsing.
Yap, Ivan Toney tersandung kasus judi yang membuatnya absen hingga 17 Januari 2024.
“Dia adalah pemain Brentford. Saya tidak mengerti mengapa kami akan menjualnya dan saya ingin memilikinya lebih lama,\” kata Thomas Frank dilansir Mirror.

Disisi lain, harga Ivan Toney melambung sebesar 80 juta Poundsterling atau Rp1,5 triliun.
Hal itu jelas makin menyulitkan Arsenal untuk mendatangkan Ivan Toney.
“Harganya pasti luar biasa. Jadi dia akan tinggal di sini,\” ucap Thomas Frank.
Di sisi lain, pelatih Arsenal, Mikel Arteta juga terang-terangan aktif berburu pemain pada jendela transfer Januari 2024.
Namun Arteta akan berbicara dengan pihak klub agar tak terkena Financial Fair Play (FFP).
Walhasil tentu ada pemain yang harus dikorbankan.
Dikabarkan yntuk meminimalisir adanya FFP, Arsenal berupaya membuang Mohamed Elneny dalam daftar skaudnya.
