Pemain yang memiliki reputasi mentereng bersama Timnas Belanda itu akan membuat persaingan di bek kiri Timnas Indonesia semakin panas.
Sebab, jika Verdonk dinaturalisasi maka pemain dengan posisi bek kiri di Timnas Indonesia akan menumpuk.
Ya, Calvin Verdonk telah diperkenalkan oleh Ketua Umum PSSI, Erick Thohir sebagai calon pemain naturalisasi Timnas Indonesia berikutnya, Selasa (30/4/2024).

Ia diperkenalkan bersama Jens Raven saat sedang berada di Jakarta untuk mengurus proses naturalisasi Timnas Indonesia.
\”Setelah tiba di Jakarta dari Doha, saya kembali fokus memperkuat tim nasional,\” kata Erick Thohir dalam unggahan Instagramnya, Selasa (30/4/2024).

\”Sementara Calvin Verdonk dan Jens Raven pemain FC Dordrecht juga dalam proses naturalisasi,\” tambahnya.Kehadiran Calvin Verdonk ini tentu membuat posisi Pratama Arhan di Timnas Indonesia semakin terancam.
Pasalnya, ia akan mendapat saingan baru yang memiliki posisi sebagai bek kiri.
Diketahui, Calvin Verdonk merupakan pemain Belanda keturunan Aceh yang serbabisa dan punya skill serta kemampuan istimewa.
Verdonk memiliki darah Indonesia dari ayahnya yang berasal dari Meulobah, Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Aceh.
Dalam kariernya di sepak bola, Verdonk pun memiliki catatan yang mentereng. Khususnya di Tim Nasional.
Ia pun pernah membela Timnas Belanda di kelompok umur, mulai dari U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, U-20, dan U-21.
