Sebab menurut Coach Justin, Timnas Indonesia tak cocok memakai formasi 4-4-2.
Seperti diketahui, Timnas Indonesia menelan kekelahan pada laga ujicoba melawan Libya dalam rangka persiapannya menuju Piala Asia 2023.
Hasil laga Timnas Indonesia vs Libya yang digelar di Titanic Mardan Stadium, Selasa (2/1/2024) malam berakhir dengan skor 0-4.Pada pertandingan ini, Shin Tae-yong memakai formasi 4-4-2 sejak awal pertandingan.
Hasilnya, Timnas Indonesia pun kesulitan berkembang dan tertinggal 1-0 di babak pertama.
Kemudian di jeda turun minum, Shin Tae-yong pun merotasi 10 pemain secara serentak kecuali posisi penjaga gawang yang ditempati Syahrul Trisna.
Pemain yang diturunkan adalah, Witan Sulaeman, Justin Hubner, Jordi Amat, Edo Febriansah, Ivar Jenner, Marselino Ferdinan, Adam Alis, Egy Mualana, Ramadhan Sananta, dan Hokky Caraka.
Yang ditarik keluar, Wahyu Prasetyo, Rizky Ridho, Pratama Arhan, Yakob Sayuri, Ricky Kambuaya, Marc Klok, Rafael Struick, Dimas Drajad, Dendy Sulistyawan, dan Saddil Ramdani.
Namun meski melakukan banyak pergantian pemain tak membuat Timnas Indonesia dapat memecah kebuntuannya.
Bahkan Timnas Indonesia justru kebobolan tiga gol tambahan pada babak kedua.
Menanggapi hasil pertandingan, pengamat sepak bola Coach Justin pun mengkritik taktik yang digunakan oleh Shin Tae-yong.
Coach Justin menilai, Timnas Indonesia tidak cocok menggunakan formasi 4-4-2.
