TRIBUNNEWS.COM- Piala Asia 2023 dan Piala Afrika 2023 akan menyita beberapa pilar penting yang berkompetisi di Liga Inggris 2023/2024.
Diketahui, untuk Piala Asia 2023 akan menghelat pertandingan di Qatar mulai 12 Januari hingga 10 Februari 2024.
Lalu untuk Piala Afrika 2023 akan menggelar turnamen pada 13 Januari hingga 11 Februari 2024 di Pantai Gading.
Walhasil dalam range agenda tersebut, setidaknya bakal menyita empat pekan Liga Inggris, mulai dari pekan ke-21 hingga ke-24.
Pihak klub harus rela melepaskan sederet pemain karena ajang Piala Asia 2023 dan Piala Afrika telah masuk dalam agenda FIFA, meskipun tak bediri di atas FIFA Matchday (libur kompetisi).
Walhasil masing-masing klub Liga Inggris diprediksi melepas pemainnya supaya terhindar dari sanksi.Menurut data Sky Sports, terdapat nama-nama besar yang menjadi tulang punggung di klub masing-masing.
Sebut saja Andre Onana, kiper Manchester United, kemundian ada Son Heung-min, winger Tottenham Hotspur.
Selain itu, Timnas Indonesia juga meminta satu pemain yakni, Justin Hubner dari Wolves.
Meskipun Hubner kerap bermain untuk tim U21 Wolves, namun pemain naturalisasi asal Belanda tersebut telah masuk ke daftar tim senior.
Yap, Justin Hubner pernah mengicipi bangku cadangan Wolves saat melawan Arsenal pada pekan ke-12 Liga Inggris (2/12/2023).
Adapun dalam daftar klub Liga Inggris yang pada kesempatan ini tak menyumbang pemainnya ialah Manchester City, Newcastle United dan Burnley.
