Ya, Timnas Indonesia dipastikan lolos ke babak 16 besar Piala Asia 2023 melalui jalur peringkat tiga terbaik.
Timnas Indonesia dipastikan berada di urutan keempat klasemen peringkat tiga terbaik setelah Kirgizstan menahan Oman 1-1 di Grup F Piala Asia 2023.
Pada laga tersebut, Oman sejatinya mampu unggul lebih dulu lewat aksi Muhsen Al Ghassani pada menit ke-8.
Namun akhirnya Kirgistan berhasil menyamakan kedudukan melalui gol Joel Kojo pada menit ke-80.
Atas hasil tersebut membuat Oman gagal merampas tiket 16 besar dari Timnas Indonesia lewat jalur peringkat ketiga terbaik.
Sebab, Oman hanya mengoleksi 2 poin dari tiga laga.
Sedangkan Timnas Indonesia yang berada di posisi ke-4 klasemen peringkat ketiga terbaik mengantongi 3 poin.
Kini setelah dipastikan lolos ke babak 16 besar membuat Shin Tae-yong berhasil mengukir prestasi baru untuk Timnas Indonesia.
