Drawing Piala Asia Wanita U-17: Indonesia Berada di Grup A Bersama Korsel, Korut dan Filipina

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Drawing Piala Asia Wanita U-17 baru saja rampung dilakukan di Markas AFC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Kamis (7/3/2024).
Hasil drawing tersebut menempatkan Timnas wanita Indonesia yang bertindak sebagai tuan rumah berada di grup A bersama dengan Korea Selatan, Korea Utara dan Filipina.
Piala Asia Wanita U-17 akan berlangsung di Bali pada 6-19 Mei 2024.
Kejuaraan ini akan menjadi debut bagi pelatih anyar tim U-17 wanita Indonesia, Satoru Mochizuki.
Sementara itu, juara bertahan Jepang ada di Grup B bersama Tiongkok, Australia dan Thailand.
Delapan tim menjadi peserta dalam turnamen ini. Tim akan dibagi rata menjadi dua grup untuk mengikuti format liga satu putaran, dengan dua tim teratas di setiap grup lolos ke semifinal.
Tiongkok, Jepang, Korea Selatan, dan Thailand adalah tim-tim yang mencapai final pada gelaran edisi sebelumnya. Sementara itu, untuk Filipina, tahun ini adalah debut pertama mereka.
Tiga tim teratas akan lolos ke Piala Dunia Wanita U-17 FIFA 2024 yang dimulai pada 16 Oktober 2024 di Republik Dominika.
