Diketahui, Timnas Indonesia telah merampungkan perjuangannya di babak penyisihan grup D Piala Asia 2023.
Tim besutan Shin Tae-yong itu dikandaskan Jepang dengan skor 1-3 di laga pamungkas Grup D.
Kekalahan ini sekaligus membuat Timnas Indonesia mengunci peringkat ketiga Grup D.
Skuad Garuda tercatat mengumpulkan 3 poin dari 3 laga.
Atas kondisi tersebut membuat satu-satunya peluang Timnas Indonesia untuk lolos adalah melalui jalur peringkat tiga terbaik.
Sebagai informasi, hanya ada empat tim peringkat ketiga terbaik yang memperoleh tiket melaju ke babak 16 besar.
Saat ini Timnas Indonesia menempati posisi keempat di klasemen peringkat ketiga terbaik.Kini nasib skuad Garuda tinggal menunggu hasil dari pertandingan untuk menentukan lolos atau tidaknya.
