TRIBUNNEWS.COM- Legenda Timnas Inggris, Alan Shearer, turut berkomentar atas penampilan dari Darwin Nunez dalam pertandingan Liverpool vs Chelsea, Kamis (1/2/2024).
Meski tak mencetak gol, Darwin Nunez, dianggap memiliki semangat juang yang tinggi sebagai seorang striker.
Melalui data BBC Sports, Nunez telah mencatatkan 11 kali percobaan dalam pertandingan yang berakhir dengan skor 4-1 untuk kemenangan Liverpool tersebut.
Namun memang pada ujungnya striker Timnas Uruguay tersebut tak mampu mencetak gol.
Bahkan Darwin Nunez melewatkan peluang mencetak gol melalui titik putih pada akhir pertandingan babak pertama.
Tendangan bomber berusia 24 tahun itu harus membentur tiang gawang.
Kondisi tersebut juga memperburuk catatan Darwin Nunez sebagai kolektor terbanyak tendangan yang membentur tiang gawang di Liga Inggris musim ini.

Kendati demikian, Nunez tak luput dari pujian Alan Shearer.
Eks pemain Newcalste United tersebut menilai Darwin Nunez tiada henti dalam berusaha.
\”Darwin Nunez tidak berhenti mengejar ketinggalan,\” ujar Alan Shearer kepada Match of the Day, dikutip melaluiBBC Sports.
\”Saya menyukai usahanya dan itulah mengapa dia pasti akan mencetak gol (ke depan),\” sambung Shearer.
Pria yang kini telah berusia 58 tahun itu memang memiliki kapasitas dalam menilai Darwin Nunez.
