Sepakbola Italia sedang ramai membahas pencabutan Growth Decree atau dekrit pertumbuhan.
Sejumlah tim papan atas mengeluh dengan keputusan yang dibuat oleh pemerintah tersebut.
Imbas dari pencabutan Growth Decree berdampak besar terhadap merosotnya pamor kompetisi Serie A Liga Italia.
Growth Decree sendiri diketahui merupakan kebijakan memberi keringanan pajak atas perekrutan pemain asing oleh tim Italia.
Terbaru, pemerintah Italia mencabut kebijakan tersebut.
Sedangkan upaya federasi (FIGC) untuk memperpanjang pemberlakuan kebijakan tersebut sampai Februari 2024 mendatang ditolak mentah-mentah.Banyak yang kecewa dengan keputusan tersebut, salah satunya Inter Milan.
Direktur Beppe Marotta menyatakan, pencabutan Growth Decree dianggap sebagai \’bunuh diri\’ karena membuat level kompetisi di Italia mentok.
\”Bagi saya ini bunuh diri atas sepakbola dan ekonomi Italia. Kita tahu sekarang sepakbola di negeri ini kembali bangkit, musim lalu ada tiga wakil di final kompetisi Eropa,\” kata Marotta, dikutip Football Italia.
Dengan pencabutan Growth Decree, dipastikan klub-klub Italia akan kesulitan memboyong pemain asing berkualitas.
Sebab mereka akan dipungut pajak lebih besar, sampai 50 persen dari sebelumnya, dalam proses transfer maupun perpanjangan kontrak.
Berbeda dengan Inter, klub Italia lain, Juventus cenderung santai menanggapi kebijakan tersebut.
Pelatih Massimiliano Allegri mengaku tak terlalu terpengaruh dengan pencabutan Growth Decree.
\”Juventus kini lebih mengutamakan pemain muda dari akademi. Mungkin tim-tim lain lebih merasa sedikit lebih khawatir dengan kebijakan tersebut,\” ujarnya.
