Bintang sepak bola Argentina, Lionel Messi, kembali bersinar saat timnya, Inter Miami, mendapatkan kemenangan di kancah Liga Amerika Serikat (MLS), Minggu (21/4/2024).
Tampil sebagai starter menghadapi Nashville, Messi mengukir namanya dua kali di papan skor bagi Inter Miami.
Messi sekaligus melengkapi kontribusinya dengan satu assist untuk gol Sergio Busquets di laga ini untuk Inter Miami.
Alhasil Inter Miami menang dengan skor 3-1.
Namun ada yang spesial pada sumbangan dua gol Lionel Messi kali ini.
Salah satu gol Messi tercipta lewat sepakan 12 pas alias penalti.
Barangkali gol dari tendangan penalti menjadi hal lumrah di era sepak bola modern.

Pasalnya Messi hampir 2 tahun tak membuat gol dari titik penalti, sebagaimana dikutip dari laman PSG Chief.
Kali terakhir pemain berjuluk La Pulga menjadi eksekutor tendangan penalti adalah saat Piala Dunia 2022 lalu.
Pada turnamen sepak bola terakbar itu, Messi total menjadi 5 penendang penalti, seperti dikutip dari FourFourTwo.
Ia berhasil melesakkan 4 di antaranya, di mana satu-satunya penalti Messi yang gagal hadir saat bertanding melawan Polandia di fase grup.
Sisanya, pemain asal Argentina ini sukses menjalankan tugas.
