Perjalanan Indonesia menuju Olimpiade 2024 di cabang sepak bola putra resmi berakhir, Kamis (9/5/2024).

Bisa dibilang kekalahan Indonesia atas Guinea berhias kontroversi cukup besar.
Hal itu bersumber dari keputusan-keputusan wasit yang dibuat pada laga ini.
Laga antara Indonesia dan Guinea sendiri dipimpin oleh wasit bernama Francois Letexier.
Wasit asal Prancis itu mengawali kontroversi pada laga ini dengan memberikan penalti kepada Guinea di menit 29.
Ia menganggap Witan Sulaeman melakukan pelanggaran kepada pemain lawan di dalam kotak penalti.
Padahal dari tayangan ulang, pelanggaran terjadi di luar kotak 16 besar.
Namun pemain Guinea-lah yang menjatuhkan diri di dalam kotak penalti Indonesia.
Francois bergeming dengan keputusannya untuk memberikan penalti kepada Guinea.
Pada akhirnya penalti itu berbuah gol bagi wakil Afrika.

Lagi-lagi ia memvonis pemain Indonesia, Alfreandra Dewangga, melakukan pelanggaran di dalam kotak penalti.
