TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Timnas Indonesia U-23 akan menghadapi Guinea U-23 pada babak playoff di Centre National du Football de Clairefontaine, Prancis, Kamis (9/5/2024).
Jelang pertandingan tersebut, pelatih Timnas Indonesia U-23, Shin Tea-yong membeberkan dirinya memberikan rehat kepada para pemainnya lebih dulu.
Shin Tae-yong memahami kondisi Justin Hubner dkk. dalam kondisi yang tidak baik usai menjalani laga berat dari fase grup hingga perebutan peringkat ketiga kontra Irak U-23.
“Saya harus melakukannya dengan baik, yang jelas para pemain sangat kelelahan. Mereka kehabisan tenaga,” kata Shin Tae-yong usai laga kontra Irak U-23, Kamis (2/5/2024).
“Jadi menurut saya, sekitar dua, tiga hari, kita hanya fokus pada pemulihan. Saya tidak membiarkan para pemain menyentuh bola dan setelah itu, mungkin kita punya waktu tiga, empat hari. Jadi kita akan memberikan beberapa taktik dan juga analisis lawan,” sambungnya.
Shin Tae-yong sangat ingin saat menghadap Guinea nanti skuad Garuda bisa meraih kemenangan.
Pasalnya, kesempatan tersebut jadi kesempatan terakhir Justin Hubner dkk. untuk tampil di Olimpiade Paris 2024.
“Jadi saya akan berusaha sebaik mungkin untuk mengambil kesempatan terakhir untuk mendapatkan tiket Olimpiade,” ujar pelatih asal Korea Selatan tersebut.
“Jadi saya berharap empat tim Asia berpartisipasi di panggung Olimpiade,” harapnya.
