Pada musim panas 2012, Jamie Vardy bergabung dengan Leicester City dari Fleetwood dengan mahar 1,24 juta pounds berdasarkan data Transfermarkt.
Kala itu, Leicester City masih bermain di divisi kedua Liga Inggris EPL, divisi Championship.
Dua musim berlalu, Jamie Vardy turut membantu Leicester City promosi ke kasta tertinggi, yakni English Premier League.

Leicester City ketika itu keluar sebagai pemuncak klasemen Championship ditemani Burnley yang berada di peringkat 2.
Satu tahun setelah promosi, Leicester yang belum konsisten hampir kembali ke Championship.
Tim berjuluk The Foxes finis di peringkat 14 dan hanya terpaut 6 poin dengan tim yang terdegradasi, Hull City.
Tapi pada musim berikutnya ketika di bawah kepemimpinan Claudio Ranieri, Leicester City melesat.
Musim 2015/2016 mungkin satu di antara musim terindah bagi Leicester City dan Jamie Vardy.The Foxes keluar sebagai kampiun Liga Inggris, dan Jamie Vardy hampir saja meraih sepatu emas EPL dengan koleksi 24 gol selama satu musim.
Torehan itu hanya terpaut satu angka dengan Harry Kane yang akhirnya menerima sepatu emas atau top skor Liga Inggris.
Konsistensi Jamie Vardy mencetak gol tak berkurang, setidaknya dua digit dia hasilkan dalam satu musim bersama Leicester.
Puncaknya, dia meraih sepatu emas Liga Inggris pada musim 2019/2020 setelah keluar sebagai pencetak gol terbanyak dengan koleksi 23 gol.
Pada tahun 2021, Jamie Vardy meraih 2 gelar juara domestik, yakni Piala FA setelah mengalahkan Chelsea di partai final dan meraih Community Shield dengan menumbangkan Manchester City.
