Persis Solo menunjuk Milomir Seslija sebagai suksesor Leonardo Medina di sisa musim kompetisi Liga 1 2023/2024.
Pengumuman itu secara resmi dirilis Persis Solo pada Selasa (9/1/2023) sore melalui akun Instagram klub.
Nama Milomir Seslija memang tidak asing di telinga penggemar sepak bola Indonesia, dia telah hilir mudik menangani klub Tanah Air sejak 2011 silam ketika menangani Arema Cronus.
Pelatih berusia 59 tahun asal Bosnia-Herzegovina tersebut telah mencicipi klub-klub lainya, yakni Persiba Balikpapan (2017), Madura United (2018), Arema FC (2019), PSM Makassar (2021), dan terakhir bekerja untuk Borneo FC (2022).
Setelah terakhir mengabdi untuk Borneo FC, Milomir Seslija hijrah ke Liga Maladewa menangani klub Maziya S&RC.

Pelatih yang pernah meraih trofi Piala Presiden bersama Arema FC (2018/2019) itu berhasil membawa Maziya S&RC finis sebagai jawara di Liga Maladewa musim ini.
Setelah satu tahun lebih berkarier di luar Tanah Air, Seslija rindu dengan kompetisi sepak bola Indonesia.
Ada satu faktor yang tidak bisa dia lupakan dan membuatnya ingin kembali ke Tanah Air.
Faktor tersebut adalah suporter. Sama halnya dengan banyak pelatih dan pemain asing yang tertarik berkompetisi di Liga Indonesia karena suporter.
\”Saya merasa sangat termotivasi dan setelah satu tahun lamanya, saya sangat merindukan Indonesia,\” ucap Seslija dalam rilis resmi klub Persis Solo.
Kehadiran suporter yang memadati stadion untuk mendukung tim kesayangan mereka bak tantangan bagi Seslija mengangkat performa timnya.
Apalagi Persis Solo yang kini berada di peringkat 15 hanya berjarak 4 poin dengan Arema FC di batas zona merah degradasi.
