Hoffmann mencetak gol pada menit 83 setelah memanfaatkan kemelut di depan gawang West Ham.
Sementara Boniface mencetak gol saat injury tima babak kedua memanfaatkan umpan Hoffmann.
Menurut BR Football, Leverkusen solutif dalam menghadapai situasi kritis tersebut, di mana mereka membutuhkan gol. Baik untuk menyamakan kedudukan bahkan untuk menang di waktu yang tersisa.
Granit Xhaka dan kolega berhasil mencetak 24 gol ketika pertandingan berlangsung di atas 80 menit.
