Di sisi Jepang, Hajime Moriasu tak terlihat membawa pemain asal Brighton yakni Kaoru Mitoma.
Absennya Mitoma sendiri dipastikan karena cedera.
Pemain asal Real Sociedad, yakni Takefusa Kubo juga terlihat tampil sebagai starting line-up seperti sebelumnya melawan Irak.
