Thom Haye menjadi salah satu aktor yang membuat SC Heerenveen selamat dari kekalahan saat bersua FC Twente di pekan 28 Eredivisie, Kamis (4/4/2024).
SC Heerenveen menahan imbang tim peringkat tiga Eredivisie, FC Twente setelah sebelumnya tertinggal 1-3.
Di laga ini, Thom Haye yang bermain hingga menit 84\’ bersua dengan Mees Hilgers, bek FC Twente yang memiliki darah Indonesia.
Mees Hilgers yang memiliki Ibu asli Indonesia bernama Linda Tombeng itu tampil selama 64\’ menit sebelum digantikan Max Bruns.
Di laga ini, Thom haye tampil cukup apik dan mendapat nilai 6,9 dari Sofa Score setelah melakukan 43 kali sentuhan dan mencatatkan passing akurat 26/30 (87 persen).
Sayangnya, pemain Timnas Indonesia lainnya, yakni Nathan Tjoe-A-On yang merupakan rekan setim Haye, belum mendapat menit bermain di laga ini.
SC Heerenveen yang bermain di depan pendukung sendiri di Abe Lenstra Stadion, sudah kebobolan 2-0 di awal permainan.
Gawang tim dari Thoma Haye dan Nathan Tjoe-A-On itu kebobolan di menit 11\’ lewat gol Ricky van Wolfswinkel, lalu dua menit berselang dibobol Daan Rots (13\’).
Heerenveen sempat memperkecil skor melalui gol Iom Nicolaescu di menit 21\’. Namun mereka kembali kebobolan di menit 36\’ melalui Robin Propper.Beruntung semangat permainan haye dkk langsung membuat mereka mengecilkan ketertinggalan dua menit setelah gol itu.
Oase Sahraoui membuat skor kembali berubah menjadi berkat golnya di menit 38\’. Kedudukan 2-3 bertahan sampai turun minum.
Di babak kedua, lebih dari sepuluh menit setelah turun minum, Heerenveen menyelesaikan comeback untuk membuat skor kembali sama.
De Superfriezen -julukan Heerenveen, mendapat hadiah penalti dari wasit setelah handball pemain Twente.
