TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Timnas Indonesia U-23 merupakan satu-satunya peserta debutan di Piala Asia U-23 2024.
Datang dengan status tim debutan, skuad Garuda langsung berada di grup A bersama tim kuat Qatar, Australia dan Yordania.
Pertandingan pertama kontra Qatar, tim besutan Shin Tae-yong ini sebenarnya sudah mulai menunjukkan kualitas permainanya.
Akan tetapi, kualitas permainan Marselino Ferdinan dkk. tercoreng oleh kepemimpinan wasit Nasrullo Kabirov yang selalu memberikan keputusan tak adil.
Bahkan keputusan tersebut cenderung mengungutangkan tuan rumah hingga akhirnya Indonesia takluk dengan skor 2-0.
Kekalahan dari Qatar membuat para pemain Timnas Indonesia U-23 dikatakan Shin Tae-yong sempat down.
Sebagai pelatih, Shin Tae-yong coba terus meningkatkan mental para pemain dan menempa skema permainan jelang laga kontra Australia.
Australia sendiri diakui Shin Te-yong merupakan tim terkuat di grup A ini.
Merasa tak gentar, tekad dan perjuangan skuad Garuda akhirnya mampu mengalahkan Australia dengan skor 1-0.
Tak hanya menang, dalam laga tersebut permainan skuad Garuda juga tampil apik, baik saat menyerang ataupun bertahan.
Hari ini, Timnas Indonesia U-23 lagi-lagi menunjukkan kualitasnya.
Anak baru asal Asia Tenggara giliran menggilas Yordania.
